We've completed our first week of broadcast! It's been an adventure full of ups and some downs but we've now mastered the running of this radio station. We started with a few technical difficulties, for which we apologise, nevertheless we prevailed and brought what we love to you the audience. 

Our breakfast show, Molly and Julian in the Morning, excelled as they brought you the news and of course gossip on the infamous Love Island. They brought with them a variety of guests and the leading chart songs. Getting Social with Sarah hit similar success as she talked about pressing issues with our society and her advice. After Sarah's show, we were originally planning to have Phoebe and Julian alas Cory and Lucas took over. They gave us a hot mixture of music to compliment their ever variable topics. Our late night slot was filled with Tristan and Bucky's 'emo evening' as they dubbed it. They brought lighthearted topics and old classics mixed with newer indie tunes. A huge thank you goes out to all our listeners and a giant well done to the entire team. We've had a great week and will hopefully be returning after the summer again.

After a few teething problems early on Oakes Radio's first day on the airwaves was a large success. With great reviews from listeners throughout the college we now hope the station will continue to grow and improve with much more content and music coming your way throughout the week!

Our first news report went amazingly after a morning of technical difficulties, presented by our news correspondent Izabela with her wonderfully clear voice. She'll be returning for another news report at 12pm so make sure to tune in!
